Split or Packaged System
Step 2: Select your system type
A split system has equipment on both the inside and outside of the structure being cooled. The unit that blows the cold air through the building is located inside usually in an attic or a utility closet.
A packaged system has all the equipment on the outside of the building either on the ground or roof. The air blower is contained with the compressor and blows the cold air directly into the structure.
Mini-splits are heating and cooling systems that allow you to control the temperatures in individual rooms or spaces.
